About Our Teams

Finance & Administration

The finance team handles all functions related to H&G's financial well-being. Generally, that includes a variety of tasks ― including accounting, recordkeeping, administrative work and cash flow.

Store Operations

Operations are the life-blood of H&G! The Operations team focus on the overall operations of our business. They provide services to ensure that customers get the products they need, and that their area of the business runs as smoothly and effectively as possible.
Without the efforts of the ops team, those at the top can't focus on tasks that only they can do, such as decision-making, communicating with stakeholders, and creating long-term goals and plans.

Sales

Our external sales team focuses on pursuing opportunities with our key account customers and ensuring they receive the high level of service they expect. The team works closely with all areas of the business to keep a pulse on customer feedback and needs.

People, Technology & Culture

The People, Technology and Culture team focuses on the employee journey and experience; from recruiting to separation. Our team establishes the interviewing philosophy and criteria for selecting candidates. Along with ongoing training and career development for team members, we look at ways to bridge the gaps between company needs, employee performance and career goals. Our team is also experts on labour employment law, people metrics, and the safety and security of all team members.
Of course, the team also maintains all the employee information and records related to employment, such as pay, benefits, transfers, promotions, performance, grievances, and separations.
At H&G, Technology Services is about technical support, monitoring and maintaining our computer systems and networks, and installing and configuring hardware and software. The team oversees our data security, network access and back-ups, and our CCTV system.

Business Operations

Business Operations include a variety of support functions, that ensure our store operations work effectively. These include: the category management team, the inventory management team, the data team, and the pricing team.

Advertising & Marketing

Our retail marketing team helps H&G expand our reach, beyond the front door of each store or location. We also help connect with customers, nurture relationships, and tell our brand story - quality product, proudly Australian and family owned, and ‘the best possible partner to all builders of the Australian Dream.
